This policy explains what information is handled when you use Screen Pet, why, and the choices you have. It covers:
com.hadify.screenpet), andScreen Pet is made by Hadify Studios ("we", "us"), an independent developer. For the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR, Hadify Studios is the controller of the personal data described here. Google is a separate, independent controller for the advertising data it handles through its ads SDK (see section 3). You can contact us at hadivahidi20@gmail.com.
a) Game data on your device. The name you give your cat, its needs (food, energy, fun, cleanliness), affection, level, coins, the food in its pantry, the time of your last visit (so its needs change while you're away) and your settings (the cat's size, whether it is out on your screen) are stored in the app's private storage on your device (Android SharedPreferences). We never receive this data. If you have turned on Android backup, Android may include it in your Google account backup so it can be restored on a new phone. Google runs that backup under its own terms, and we can't access it.
b) The cat on top of other apps. To let the cat walk along the bottom of your screen, the app asks for Android's Display over other apps permission. The app uses it only to draw the cat in a small window that is the size of the cat. It doesn't capture or record the screen, read other apps' content, or know which app you are using. The only thing it notices is when the system bars are hidden (for example a full-screen video), so the cat can step aside until they come back.
c) Notification. While the cat is out on your screen, Android requires the app to show a notification, which also lets you bring the cat home. On Android 13 and later the app asks for permission to show it. The app doesn't use notifications for anything else.
d) Advertising — Google AdMob. Rewarded ads appear only in the app's own home screen, and only after the player chooses to watch one. Every ad request is tagged for child-directed treatment and as coming from a user under the age of consent, with ad content limited to the G rating. Under these settings Google turns off personalised advertising and remarketing for the request. The app removes the permission that would let ads read the device's advertising ID, and it doesn't use Android's Privacy Sandbox ad features. To deliver an ad, measure it and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may still process:
The ads SDK also uses Google's consent tool (the User Messaging Platform) on each launch. Because every request is treated as coming from a child or a user under the age of consent, it doesn't ask for consent to personalised ads, and none are shown.
e) This website. screenpet.hadify.app is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the pages you request, your browser type and the time of each request, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The website has no ads, no analytics and no tracking cookies.
What we don't collect: your or your child's real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone or camera. There are no real-money purchases in this version, so we never handle payment details. Coins are earned in the game and have no monetary value.
We designed Screen Pet so that children can play it safely:
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us and we will delete it.
For more information on how Google handles ad data, see Google's Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and AdMob's child-directed treatment.
We don't sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.
Google and Cloudflare may process data in the United States and other countries. For data from the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, they rely on legal safeguards: the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and/or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and the UK.
We don't keep personal data about you on servers of our own.
You have the right to access your personal data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, and receive it in a portable format. Because your game stays on your device and we can't link advertising data to you, we usually hold no data that identifies you, but we will always help: email hadivahidi20@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in the EEA, the authority in your country; in Switzerland, the FDPIC.
Children (COPPA). Screen Pet is directed in part to children under 13. We don't collect personal information from children: game data stays on the device, and ad requests are tagged as child-directed so Google applies its COPPA treatment to them (no personalised ads, no remarketing). Parents can contact us at any time with questions, and we will delete any personal information a child has sent us.
California and other state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, US state privacy laws, such as the CCPA as amended by the CPRA in California and similar laws in states such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and Oregon, give you the right to know and access the personal information collected about you, delete it, correct it, and opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" and of targeted advertising. We don't sell or share personal information and don't show targeted ads. We don't collect "sensitive" personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
Categories of personal information processed in the last 12 months, through the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app: internet and device activity (ad interactions, device and app information) and approximate location (estimated from your IP address). They are used to deliver and measure the ads a player chooses to watch, to prevent fraud and to keep the service secure, and are disclosed to Google, our advertising partner.
How to make a request: email hadivahidi20@gmail.com. We may ask for information to verify your request. An authorised agent can make a request for you if they have your written permission. If we turn down your request, you can appeal by replying with the subject "Privacy appeal".
Game data is kept in the app's private storage on your device. Ad requests are sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change is significant, for example if we add purchases or new features that handle data, we'll also tell you in the app or on this website before it takes effect.
